PAST EMPLOYMENT

Prior to James Mortillaro's employment as a custodian, he worked in retail at Filene's Basement in Manhasset, NY.

During his employment at Filene's Basement, HE WAS ARRESTED & PROSECUTED FOR STEALING from his employer. He later obtained employment at Walmart in Islandia. He was subsequently fired from this store as well, after Walmart experienced shrinkage. This shrinkage led to the investigation and discovery that James Mortillaro lied on this application. James claimed he did not have any previous arrests, which was false. Even though LYING ON A JOB APPLICATION is a crime, James Mortillaro did it anyway.

He then went to work managing a restaurant/bar in Long Beach NY, until that bar was sold in 2006/2007.

James Mortillaro then became the OWNER OF AN ADULT CLUB. This club went under several trade names: such as, Club Babylon, Club 45, Cherri Bombs, Encounters swingers club, and Hot Spot all male theater, and JZY Enterprises Incorporated. This establishment featured live entertainment including women, males and “shemales”, DVDs, Novelties, and Peep Shows. The ownership and management of this establishment included such details as follows:

Interviews: since it was a totally NUDE CLUB, the interview process included meeting the prospective entertainers and having them STRIP NAKED AND SIT THROUGHT THE INTERVIEWS COMPLETELY NUDE. Many of these entertainers were 18 years old.

The other duties were what you might imagine go hand and hand with OWNING AND FULLY OPERATING A SEX CLUB. Although everything mentioned with regards to owning a sex club is legal, I don’t think it is the best look for our community and school district to employee a man who has been fully engaged in exploiting young men and women for personal profit. Although it is legal, I AM CERTAIN THAT WE CAN FIND A BETTER CANDIDATE TO HAVE AROUND OUR YOUNG ADULTS, especially in a school setting than someone who has profited from the exploitation of young men/women and “shemales.”
